I am with BUPA and have extras cover.
When I got my first script of Duromine I got them to print me out a receipt as I knew I could claim some back through:
Pharmacy
You pay a set amount then we refund 100% of the balance up to $40 per script.
$500 annual limit.
So I thought I might get $40 back.
I was pleasantly surprised when I got $55 back. The assistant put it down under:
Living Well
Our Living Well benefit helps you reach your goals by covering some of the costs for health-related programs. These include gym memberships, swimming programs (child dependants only), yoga, Pilates, nicotine replacement therapy and weight management programs.
50% of cost.
$100 annual limit.
I forgot to get the pharmacist to print off a receipt last time (you can't just have the register receipt, it has to be printed out off their dispensing computer) but I will get my next script at the same pharmacy and they will be able to print off both as it is stored in their system.
Thought this might be helpful for some.
If you have health insurance with extras cover it is worth taking a look at your policy to see if you get some back. Then, if you have cover, go to you pharmacy and get them to print off your receipts.
My next receipt I will either get $45 (balance of 'Living Well') or $40 (Pharmacy) then I will get $40 back each time.
Makes a HUGE difference.
