The Beginning

Hello to anyone reading....

I am just into week 3 on this journey and so far so good.

Decided today that I need to utilize this blog to the fullest so that I can
A. Hold myself accountable and
B. Have a safe place to vent.

I do not remember a time I have not had weight issues , I have just always been the chubby one. When I look back on high school pics however...I would KILL to be the 55kg's I was at the time :)

So I started this journey on the 28th August 2014 at 83kgs. My weigh in days are Mondays which I will record in my signature weekly. I have just started using myfitnesspal and I am aiming for no more that 1200 calories per day , I have noticed that I even struggle to get to that , yesterday was only 1050 , I am focusing now on getting in more veggies and fruit(not a fruit lover in the least bit). 13 days into it and I am now on 78kgs. My Duromine script is for 3 months and I am hoping to lose 15kgs in this time , which leaves me with 10kg to lose with the Duromine and 5kg extra by myself. I am on the 15mg dose.


I exercise 3 times a week , either 40mins of treadmill in the gym - walking and running a teeny weeny bit lol. Or doing uphill hikes on the slopes of the gorgeous mountains in Cape Town for one hour.

My intention is not just to transform my body but also my mindset so that I can live a more fulfilling life.

I absolutely love being on this forum with likeminded souls :)

This post is inspiring. I have also ever been chubby and now with a big event coming up I just have the biggest fear of not being able to lose the weight.
You are so determined and that has encouraged me!
Everyone around me is fit and looking great. The Cape Town weather is looking amazing now and I'm still fat I have an appointment to get my new script today!
